As part of Vodafone’s Team Modafone, five Power players have helped collect more than $115,000 in sponsorship during Movember.

Toby Thurstans, Shaun Burgoyne, Tom Logan, Nick Lower and Hugh Minson will be able to get the razor out happy with their Movember efforts.

All of the players have copped their fair share of ribbing from their team mates about their mo. Despite the jibes they’ve persisted, knowing that the money raised will help the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Beyond Blue.

Shaun who was married just before Movember thinks Amy, his wife, will be glad when the smooth upper lip returns after a shave.

“She doesn’t like it so I think she’ll be pretty happy.” Shaun said.

Shaun does sound like he has become a little attached to the mo, and despite Amy counting down the days to the end of Shaun’s fund raising in Movember, he’ll let it grow across the weekend.

“I’ll probably go to a barber next week and get a trim and shave,” the Power’s No. 8 told PortAdelaideFC.com.au

Shaun had no trouble in growing the mo, but for someone like Hugh Minson, persistence was the key and by the end of the month there was a definite shadow to really show support for the cause.

Team Modafone raised the most funds of any corporate team in the world, so the five mo growing Power players would like to thank everyone who supported them in Movember as part of Vodafone’s Team Modafone.

The Power staff contributions to Team Modafone were also significant with IT Manager Michael Condon being awarded the official Modafone ‘best office mo’ sash at lunchtime, narrowly beating the five players and fellow staff members David Bartlett, Aaron Flanagan, Richard Holmes, Tony Saulters and Nick Smith.
