Alberton Oval is more than just a playing field. It’s hallowed ground where many legends have battled and bled.
Shine Hosking, Bob Quinn, Fos Williams, Geof Motley, John Cahill, Russell Ebert and Scott Hodges all dazzled the masses here.
Endless premiership flags have been proudly raised on top of our iconic grandstands.
Since 1870, our great club has dominated South Australian football and today our relentless pursuit of victory is seen on a national stage in the AFL.
Our success is unsurpassed, our tradition is ingrained and the burning passion of our faithful supporters is unmatched.
But the future is not just about on-field success, it is also about developing our players as people and continuing our important role in the wider community; involving ourselves in programs for the young and disadvantaged.
The Port Adelaide Forever Bequest Society engages our lifelong, passionate members and provides a structured platform allowing them to enjoy the rewarding and enjoyable environment that is the Port Adelaide Football Club.
As a valued member of the Bequest Society, you can participate in the life and culture of the club content in the knowledge that, once you have looked after family and loved ones in your personal bequest, you have made a valuable contribution to Port Adelaide as well.
Established in 2010, the Port Adelaide Forever Bequest Society is one of the club's most important institutions.
It is the main channel for supporters to leave a bequest to the club.
Since its establishment, society membership has grown to more than 100 loyal supporters who are firmly engaged with the club through our regular events, including morning teas, luncheons and match day functions.
These regular events are relaxing and enjoyable outings that are a small token of the club’s gratitude for the many pledges that contribute to the Port Adelaide Football Club Future Fund.
Guests at these functions include:
- Society ambassador and former premiership captain Russell Ebert
- Chief executive officer Keith Thomas
- Current Power and Magpies players and coaches.
Supporters who leave a bequest to the club in their will become automatic members of the Bequest Society.
Our mission is to bring the Port Adelaide Football Club closer to you, and to create a society that is fun, enjoyable and, most importantly, contributes to the life of our old and proud club.
