The Power Community Youth Program was the first educational schools program administered by an AFL club. The program is managed by Russell Ebert and involves repeat visits to primary schools across the state.
AFL footballers and female athletes visit 30,000 primary school students every year to promote positive messages focused on healthy lifestyles and being a good sport.
The themes include:
- Eat Well, Be Active, Don’t Smoke
- Harmony, Respect and Teamwork
Students are encouraged to make better decisions and to support their peers.
BHP Billiton and the Government of South Australia are major partners with Adelaide Airport Ltd as the Regional Partner.
