SEVERAL Gold Coast Suns players are set to miss Saturday's Round 21 match against Port Adelaide after sustaining injuries in their 13-point win over Melbourne at Metricon Stadium last night.

Former Adelaide Crow Nathan Bock will miss playing in his former state after a recurring leg problem.

The Suns confirmed Bock will undergo surgery to remove a rod and will play no further part in their season.

Alex Sexton was nursed from the ground during the final quarter of his match after sustaining a dislocated AC joint during a melee, while young South Australian Sam Day also looks set to miss Saturday's match against the Power with hamstring soreness.

"Young Alex (Sexton) has done an AC (joint), so he's in some doubt," said Suns coach Guy McKenna.

"Sam Day: tight hamstring so I think he is little or no show for next week.

"The Bock experiment? We were probably hoping to get him through to next week but he's obviously very ginger and sore so we'll book him into the surgeon."

Port Adelaide reported no injuries from its 25-point loss to Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

A full injury report will be available on portadelaidefc.com.au on Monday.
