IT WOULD be a rare thing indeed, seeing portadelaidefc.com.au discussing a Norwood premiership victory.

After all, Port and Norwood have the biggest traditional rivalry in South Australian sport!

But the contribution of three members of Port's 2013 playing squad in the Redlegs' flag win over North Adelaide on Sunday can't be ignored.

Magarey Medallist Matt Thomas, Lewis Stevenson and Darren Pfeiffer were all members of the Power's 2013 playing list and played in the Legs' grand final win.

Thomas and Pfeiffer were not offered new contracts for next year, while Stevenson remains on Port Adelaide's AFL roster heading into 2014.

Thomas was his usual self in the midfield, amassing six clearances and 20 disposals.

Pfeiffer also impacted up forward with five inside 50s.

Stevenson played during the second half of Norwood's year and proved an effective defensive option for the Redlegs. He had seven rebounds and three inside 50s on Sunday, as well as 18 touches of his own.

It would seem as though Stevenson has become somewhat of a lucky charm for state league teams, having now played in three consecutive titles in either the WAFL (with Claremont in 2011 and 2012) or, now, the SANFL.

Stevenson, along with fellow Norwood-aligned players Tom Jonas and Brent Renouf, will migrate to Port Adelaide's SANFL team from 2014.

Fellow 2013 Power squad members Nathan Blee (11 disposals) and Daniel Stewart (one goal) played in the opposing North Adelaide side.
