PORT ADELAIDE has awarded life membership to three of its SANFL heroes at its annual general meeting at Alberton Oval.

Brett Chalmers, Paul Rizonico and James Meiklejohn were all announced as life members by chief executive officer Keith Thomas.

Chalmers played for Port Adelaide in both the AFL and SANFL, winning six League flags and playing 120 games in the SANFL and 25 games in the AFL for the club.

Rizonico played in two flags and 102 games with the Magpies between 1989 and 1995. He has maintained an involvement in the club as a member of the club's AFL team staff.

Meiklejohn was Port Adelaide's captain from 2010 and played 165 games for the Magpies.

The Port Adelaide Football Club congratulates Brett, Paul and James on their life membership after significant careers of achievement for the club.
