ANDREW Fuss takes a look at who’s in the mix for selection for the Power and the Eagles ahead of Saturday’s huge clash at Subiaco between third and fourth on the ladder.

Port Adelaide
It’s hard to change a team which won by 113 points, but if Chad Wingard proves he’s over an ankle injury, expect at least one change for the Power.

Wingard is listed as ‘assess’ on the Power’s injury list and will face a fitness test before the team is announced on Thursday evening.

If Wingard is given the green light to play, the coaches will have a tough call on who drops out of the side.

Sam Gray, Aaron Young and Cam O’Shea all impressed as the inclusions last week. Gray booted three goals on debut, Young had a real impact with 8 possessions and a goal as the sub and Cam O’Shea was solid all day.

It will be a tough choice for the match committee, no doubt.

Kane Mitchell (rookie list), Ben Newton and Sam Colquhoun both dominated in the midfield for the Magpies while John Butcher and Cam Hitchcock booted five goals apiece. Despite their impressive form, it’s hard to see any of them forcing their way back into the AFL side given the performance by the Power in Round 4.

West Coast
The Eagles are certain to regain Luke Shuey (suspension) and Matt Rosa (illness) for the Round 5 clash.

Darren Glass (hip) and Chris Masten (hamstring) are also pushing their claims for a recall as they try to prove they are over injury.

After a big loss to Geelong in Round 4, Eagles coach Adam Simpson could turn to his in-form WAFL players to spark his side. Mark Hutchings would be at the top of that list, the midfielder impressing with 22 touches and a goal on the weekend.

Doubt remains over Nic Naitanui’s fitness, but Simpson appeared confident he would play when asked during the week.
