CHAD Wingard will return to face the Eagles on Saturday night, with senior coach Ken Hinkley confirming Wingard has proved his fitness.

Wingard suffered an ankle injury in the Round 3 loss to North Melbourne, and despite returning to the field against the Roos, was unable to take his place in the Power's Round 4 line-up.

Hinkley confirmed Wingard's return at the Port Adelaide branch of the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, where the club was announcing a partnership with the Red Cross.

"Wingard will play, but we're going to lose Jack Hombsch to some hamstring soreness," Hinkley said.

"We're not taking any risks with Hombschy, in the same way we didn't with Chad last week.

"I suspect there'll only be one change."

The Power's final 22 will be announced at 5.55pm on Thursday night.
