HAMISH HARTLETT will be given every chance to play the Western Bulldogs this Saturday at the Adelaide Oval after rolling his ankle against Sydney on the weekend.

He was the fourth such incident in as many weeks, following similar injuries to Angus Monfries, Travis Boak and Jared Polec.

Boak and Monfries played their first games since injury against the Swans on Saturday.

Polec remains a chance to play the Bulldogs as well after missing the four-point loss to the premiership favourites at the SCG.

But head of high performance Darren Burgess won’t leave anything to chance with either of the Power’s key midfielders.

“Someone must’ve run over a cat or something, considering the luck we’ve had with these ankle injuries,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“We can’t do much about it during the game – it’s just something that happens.

“We’ll see how Hamish pulls up during the week and will continue to monitor Jared’s progress, hopefully one, if not both, will be able to play this weekend.”

Paul Stewart continues to respond slowly to a knee injury suffered against Melbourne two weeks ago.

He remains at least a two-week return prospect.
