HAMISH Hartlett is pushing to be declared fit for Showdown 37 against the Crows this weekend.

Dom Cassisi and Jarman Impey, who suffered soreness during the week, are also slated for assessment at training this week.

With no injuries reported from either the Power’s 72-point win over the Bulldogs or the Magpies’ loss to the Bloods, it leaves the trio as the only senior players looking to make a return to the action this weekend.

Port Adelaide’s head of high performance Darren Burgess says all three will be monitored at training this week, but is confident they’ll pull up in time for Sunday’s derby with the Crows.

“We’re reasonably confident all three will be fit to play, but obviously with Hamish we want to make sure that ankle is 100% ready to go,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Polec and Boak returned from theirs in two games, but obviously Monfries took a little longer with his, so we just need to be careful we don’t bring him back sooner than we should.

“That said, we think if he gets through fine this week he’ll be free for selection.”

Paul Stewart is now a week away from returning from a minor knee injury, while Cameron Hitchcock and Andrew Moore are still at least two games from a return.

That could leave all three available for selection in the Magpies’ SANFL Showdown against the Crows on July 26.
