NORTH ADELAIDE backman Michael Clich will head to the SANFL Tribunal after opting to challenge a two-game ban for making forceful front-on contact with Magpies forward Mason Shaw on Saturday.

Clinch was suspended for five games for a similar hit on Ben Newton during trial games earlier this year.

While the SANFL Incident Review Panel acknowledged the force of Clinch's bump was low, it graded the bump as reckless and of a "dangerous manner".

The Level 1 offence draws 125 demerit points with 25% loading for his previous suspension, a 25% deduction for an early guilty plea and, combined with 88.1 carry-over points, equates to a total of 205.28 demerit points or a two-game ban.

The report of Roosters skipper Greg Gallman for allegedly attempting to trip Port Adelaide's Andrew Moore was withdrawn as part of the match review process.
