PORT Adelaide's army of supporters will converge on Federation Square for its traditional March to the 'G on Sunday.

The March became popular following its first edition in Round 1, 2013 and during two finals at the MCG later that year.

With Port Adelaide playing just one home-and-away game at the 'home of football' this season, the March to the 'G will be popular with many supporters travelling to Melbourne for the game.

"We've got a big day planned in Melbourne for our supporters," Port Adelaide's membership retention coordinator Ben Demertzis says.

"There were three very successful marches last year and it's definitely our most popular supporter experience outside of South Australia.

"We're expecting between 2,000 and 3,000 supporters to turn out and march with us again and set the tone for what will hopefully be a good night at the game.

"The players love the support our local and SA supporters give the team at the 'G, so we hope anyone who goes there again on Sunday will really make lots of positive noise to get the boys over the line."

Power supporters are invited to convene in Federation Square on the corner of Swanston and Flinders streets at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon, when the club's chief executive officer Keith Thomas will make an address.

PTV will also play on the super screens inside the square and the club will run a number of activities with joint major partner Renault Australia.

The March to the 'G will commence at 3:20pm for a 3:40pm arrival at the ground.
