The Port Adelaide Football Club is proud to announce that Beyond Bank Australia has joined the club as its official banking partner and as major partner of Empowering Youth, a community program for students in secondary schools.

As major partner of Empowering Youth, Beyond Bank will help to empower students to make the right decisions in relation to their health, education and employment.

And now with Beyond Bank’s support students will receive financial education providing students with the opportunity to learn more about finance with a view of setting them up to achieve prosperity for life.

Port Adelaide chief executive Keith Thomas said the club is delighted to be partnering with Beyond Bank.

“We are thrilled to have Beyond Bank join us as our official banking partner, but it goes well beyond that,” Mr Thomas said.

“Most importantly, Port Adelaide and Beyond Bank share a strong set of values that commits to investing in communities and making them stronger.

“As a result of their desire to build strong communities, Beyond Bank is now a partner of our community arm, Power Community Limited. Through this partnership Beyond Bank will underpin our Empowering Youth program based on providing young students with financial skills and money saving habits that will set them up for the future.”

Beyond Bank Australia chief executive Robert Keogh said the bank was delighted to join Port Adelaide as a community partner to assist Beyond Bank’s core business philosophy of strengthening the fabric of communities.

“Our support of Power Community Limited is about finding ways, through partnerships, to have a positive influence in our communities,” Mr Keogh said.

"A critical aspect of this partnership is our ability to add value to the Empowering Youth program through the inclusion of financial education, giving students an early understanding of the value of money and how to manage it.

"And we are delighted that the Empowering Youth program is receiving strong support from local schools and is delivering key educational outcomes for young people.

"The Empowering Youth program is provided free to schools, meaning that corporate support and fundraising is vital to ensure that the program continues to expand into the future."

Mr Thomas said it was easy for individuals and corporates to also assist in helping raise funds to deliver more programs across South Australia.

"As a part of this community partnership, we will be establishing a dedicated fundraising account for Power Community Limited," Mr Thomas said.

"We are encouraging individuals and corporates to open a Beyond Bank Community Reward Account to assist Power Community Limited fundraise to expand our community based programs."
