LED by captain Travis Boak, Port Adelaide’s playing stocks are on the rise with the club’s key performers now among the top players of the competition.

Boak is the first Port Adelaide player to crack the top 10 of the Gatorade Official AFL Player Ratings, after starting the season ranked 24th.

The ratings system was introduced in 2013 and ranks all players in the competition based on a special algorithm that accounts for all player statistics.

The Power has five players in the top 50, and seven in the top 100.

Boak surged into ninth place following a strong and consistent season as one of the Power's primary ball-winners.

He is rated the League's seventh-best midfielder.

Chad Wingard is rated the competition's second-best small/medium forward and Robbie Gray is the fifth-highest rated mid/forward.

Boak's performance in Sunday's first elimination final against Richmond was one of his best games.

He drew 26.3 points - the third highest of any player in finals - with 34 dispoasls, 12 clearances, two assists, one goal and involvements in 14 scoring chains.

Clearly the Power skipper enjoys playing the Tigers, with his elimination final effort second only to his effort against Richmond at Etihad Stadium in Round 17.

He also chalked up a 26.3-point effort against the yellow-and-black in the Power's 2011 win over the Tigers, which means three of his best four career performance have come against Richmond.
