AROUND 15,000 Port Adelaide supporters are expected to March to the G on Saturday ahead of the Power’s Preliminary Final against Hawthorn.

The March from the G has been a regular in Melbourne since our season opener against Melbourne at the MCG in Round 1, 2013.

The two marches in the 2013 Finals series attracted 5,000 supporters, but with more than 20,000 Power fans expected in Melbourne this weekend, the club is confident Saturday’s will be the biggest march ever – possibly eclipsing the 10,000 at the March from the Mall prior to the Elimination Final against Richmond.

Given the huge turnout expected, the club has moved the starting point of the march from Fed Square to the more open Birrarung Marr - which is on the river, just down the steps from Fed Square towards the MCG.

Supporters are encouraged to meet at 3pm in Birrarung Marr and the March to the G will begin at 3.20pm, arriving at the ground at around 3.40pm.

The club will have a merchandise van at the start of the march for supporters to stock up on last minute Power gear.

The Power’s official pre-game function will take place at Bells Hotel (157 Moray St, South Melbourne) from 11am until 2pm.
