Peter Jackson Player of Week

Aaron Young
Very good performance across four quarters, he worked hard on the inside and looked to test his opponent when we won possession. Drifted forward on occasions and showed his class with some good overhead marking.

Player Reviews

Mitch Harvey
A very competitive performance this week against a very handy and experienced ruck division. Although he gave up some hitouts to the South rucks, he played tough over four quarters and did not allow South just to fully dictate at the stoppages.

Steven Summerton
Back to some good form from the skipper, worked hard on his defensive game and helped us use the footy with composure. He is definitely excited about the final ahead.

Angus Bruggemann
Battled manfully and hurt his shoulder in a contest early in the match. Gave us good target to kick to up forward and will raring to go this week.

Tom Clurey
Had a really good battle with Eddy who was in good form and up and firing. Tom needs to be very aggressive this week with his work on his direct opponent and help us get going in offence.

Daniel Flynn
I thought the kid showed some composure and class again from the first final. Made better decisions when in possession and did not try to take on  too much.

Sam Gray
Solid performance from Sam, he won plenty of the footy but his defensive actions were what made us happy. He tackled chased and harassed the oppo with speed and intensity.

Nathan Krakouer
A solid game from Krak last week. He offers composure and class either forward or back and did a really good job on Rolfe, who kicked five goals the week before, but he also had good help from other defenders.

Brendon Ah Chee
I think Arch has really turned the corner with his footy over the 6-8 weeks, he is returning good consistent performances week in, week out. His ability to be tough inside at stoppage but also bob up forward and hit the scoreboard is promising.

Mason Shaw
A consistent four-quarter effort by Mason this week in the competitive area of his game. Up and about early giving us an option to kick to but also contested well inside attacking 50 for us when it counted.

Lewis Stevenson
Like Krak, Lewy had the Rolfe matchup at times and did a great job. He looked to use his weapons in offence but I was really pleased with his attack on the contest at ground level and in the air.

Sam Russell
I really liked the game from Sam, he got involved in some good running plays and he really worked hard for us defensively. Very similar to Sam Gray with great tackling and chasing once we lost the pill.

Karl Amon
Played mainly in and around the footy and also had a stint up forward. He looked really dangerous when he gets on the footy and created some scoring opportunities for us.

Paul Stewart
Was in the game early with his ability to put pressure on the oppo rebounding from defence. His third quarter was great with two goals and great leadership with our young playing group.

Ben Newton
Not his best day, but I know this kid will bounce back and have a cracker this week. He did do the teams thing though which provided opportunities for others.

Cam Hitchcock
After missing last week due to injury, Hitchy had a fairly consistent performance across the game. He always looks to get into dangerous positions in offence and hurt the oppo with his skills and he provided good pressure inside 50 as well.

Darcy Byrne-Jones
I felt he had a really good game, particularly for winning the most possessions for us. He just needs to be a bit more damaging with his kicking but stood up in a big final which should give him confidence.

Kane Mitchell
Took a bit of the game to get going but he has not played for a few weeks. After half time his ability to run and carry and outnumber at contests with others was possibly the difference in the game.

Tom Logan
It was a normal Tom Logan game, full of crashing in and getting himself another cut over the eye. This is inspiring stuff for our playing group as well as our younger players.

Campbell Heath
Second game back from injury and Campbell looked far more confident in his footy. He offers real flexibility up forward and down back. Ball use was really good and helped us get going on our rebound.

Jarmen Impey
A solid performance this week, defended strongly and looked to get some offence into his game. I like him down back as it makes you feel safe but we don’t mind seeing up around the ball either as he offers real speed and attack on the game.
