ADAM Mahney has been crowned Port Adelaide's best and fairest Elite Football Academy player in the Under-18 competition at the club's annual A.R. McLean Medal awards presentation at Alberton Oval.

Mahney is the son of former League player Wayne, who played in the club's stirring 'threepeat' of premierships in 1988, 1989 and 1990 in a 108-game career, and grandson of former League and 1959 premiership player Graham.

He won the club's final Under-18 best and fairest from Major Lienert and Jayden O'Neill and was also awarded the club's Alf Glennon Memorial Trophy as the most consistent player in the side.

O'Neill similarly was awarded the Harold Penn Memorial Trophy as the club's most promising underage player.

Adam Hurrell was awarded the Troy Broadbridge Memorial Trophy as the group's best team man, while Jake Beinke won the Ted McMahon Trophy as the best clubman.

Mitchell Smith was the Harry Kneebone Most Improved player while Teejay Halkia was the Trevor Head Memorial coaches' trophy winner.

Ben Beioley was the Under-18's leading goalkicker with 41 majors to his name.
