THE Power are backing the SA Special Olympics squad who travel to Melbourne next week for the National Games in Melbourne.
The SA squad of 73 athletes and 23 voluntary support staff will be competing in 9 sports over 5 days, commencing October 20.
The 10th National Games will feature 12 sports in total plus AFL and Netball are on the program as Exhibition Events.
A fundraising total of $243,000 is required for the athletes to attend the event.
Some of the athletes visited Power Headquarters at Alberton Oval and suggested they could achieve similar success to the Power squad of 2004.
