Another good win, but again some great scoring by the Power players in the Showdown! Once again Brad Ebert was our highest scorer with 139. His average of 118 ranks him as having the second highest average in the league behind Jordan Lewis. Well done if you have him as he has been fantastic.

Robbie Gray returned from his one week calf injury to provide 102 points. What was more important for me was that he was running freely, something he wasn’t doing in the Hawthorn game. This means he should be fine to continue on with his scoring in the coming weeks.

Nathan Krakouer has been brought into many teams in the last two weeks and for good reason. He is making money for us. So far $68,000. He has a break even of just 9 this week so he will continue to make money. Hopefully he can put a big score together that will help us continue on with cash generation.

This week we saw the first round of changes to player positions. Chad Wingard had midfield eligibility added to his profile. This means now that you can swap him with players in your midfield that also have forward eligibility. This is especially important during the bye rounds. There were 18 players that had a change made. For us coaches the key ones were our rookies Salem, Vandenberg, McIntosh, Heeney, Clark and Tarrant who all had an extra position added to them. This gives us a lot more flexibility when one of them might be missing each week.

The talking point of the week was the actions of Jordan Lewis and Luke Hodge. Given that we have two trades each and every week there is no reason to hang on to these guys. You should be looking to trade them out and make the most of the cash you have available. They are worth too much to be simply left on your bench for a couple of weeks. The key is, if you want to get them back when they return, you need to swap to someone of a similar or slightly cheaper value that won’t drop in price. This way you can then simply remove them next week and put one of these guys back in your team.

Remember that with AFL Fantasy Coach subscriptions you can see more stats on your players which will include their break evens. As I have said before, you need to watch the break evens of your cash cow rookies to make sure you are trading them out before they start to lose money.

Best of luck to your teams this week. Check the AFL Site for the article by The Traders in relation to the players that have gained extra positional eligibility so that you can make the most of your team score.
