THE Adelaide Oval will open its gates to footy fans and members of the public to allow tributes to late Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh.

TRIBUTES: Footy world remembers Walshy

Walsh was to coach his 13th game of senior AFL football on Sunday at 2:50pm against Geelong.

The 11-season Port Adelaide assistant became Crows coach in 2015, and has been remembered with extensive tributes from past and present players, as well as supporters of both clubs.

The Oval will sound the siren at 2:50pm on Sunday afternoon as was originally scheduled before the cancellation of the Crows-Cats game.

The stadium will close at 4:00pm
