THE Match Review Panel has cleared Jay Schulz of wrongdoing for a tackle on Sydney’s Ted Richards last Thursday night.

It leaves Port Adelaide’s full forward free to face Collingwood on Thursday night at the Adelaide Oval.

The MRP found Schulz's tackle was not "unreasonable in the circumstances" and taken in one continous motion, with no secondary action.

But his teammate Matthew Broadbent has been sanctioned for interfering with an injured opponent – Luke Parker – in the third quarter when he tried to shepherd Parker from a nearby stoppage while a trainer was in attendance.

He was fined $1000 for unreasonable or unnecessary contact with an injured player.

The incident was assessed as intentional and low body impact following receipt of a Swans medical report, with an initial fine of $1500 downgraded for Broadbent's previous good record.

INJURY UPDATE: Trengove available

Collingwood's Travis Varcoe was fined $100 for low head-high impact on Hawthorn's Cyril Rioli, leaving the Magpie free to play the Power on Thursday night.

Contact between Sydney's Dan Hannebery and Schulz from the first quarter of last Thursday's game was also assessed, although no further action was taken.
