JARED Polec has passed a major milestone in his recovery – he’s back running.

The pacey midfielder posted a video on his Instagram with vision of him running on the club’s anti-gravity treadmill.

The 22-year-old thanked club physio Tim Parham and girlfriend Alison Bick for their support during his rehab – which involved a lot of time off his feet to let the bone heal.

Polec has managed just five games in 2015, with the navicular bone injury in his foot keeping him sidelined after the Power’s Round 5 victory over the Crows.

The club finally ruled a line through his name for the season on August 10, despite positive signs in the healing process of his foot.

“We’ve taken a very cautious approach with Jared and while we are confident the injury in healing we don’t believe he’ll be able make it back this year,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au after Round 19.

“It’s a load-bearing bone, so it’s going to be a slow process for Polly, but the good news for him is that we think it’s healing well.”

The club will continue to monitor Polec’s progress as he increases the workload in his running program.
