ALL Port Adelaide players are back training as the club fast approaches the end of 2015.

And only eight are running to modified programs as a result of minor issues or post-surgery rehabilitation programs.

With Logan Austin (shoulders), Alipate Carlile (hip), Jack Hombsch (hip), Paul Stewart (hip) and Jay Schulz (back) having surgery, and Jared Polec, Chad Wingard and Angus Monfries on reduced training programs with body niggles, the Power’s stocks are in good shape heading into Christmas.

Barring incident, Port Adelaide’s head of high performance Darren Burgess expects to see all players barring Stewart and Hombsch in full training when the Power comes out of its festive season break.

“We’re in good shape, Hombschy and Stewart look like being in full training at the end of January, but – touchwood – all the other blokes will be back training just after Christmas,"

“Chaddy [Wingard], Gus [Monfries] and Polec are on modified programs at the moment, we’re just making sure they’re well managed and ticking all the boxes before we bring them back into the main program.”

Port Adelaide will not train over the Christmas and New Year period and resumes training in the first week of 2016.
