Summerton named SANFL vice-captain for state game against VFL

Third state appearance for Magpies skipper

STEVEN SUMMERTON has been named the SANFL's vice-captain for Sunday's state game at the Adelaide Oval.

Former Port Adelaide league player and development zone product-turned-Sturt midfielder Zane Kirkwood has been named captain.

The pair were unveiled at the SANFL state team's training session on Wednesday night at the Oval, ahead of Sunday's game against the VFL.

It confirms Summerton's selection in the final team - his third appearance in the state tricolours.

The SANFL hosts the VFL at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday 29 May at 1.40pm.
