THIS Christmas, Foodbank will pack over 10,000 hampers for more than 25,000 South Australians in need.

As Port Adelaide’s official charity partner, Foodbank works year-round with generous supporters to source nutritious, essential food products and distributes them to welfare agencies and South Australians in need.

Port Adelaide staff joined with staff of Australian Gas Networks – the Power’s new ‘Goals to End Hunger’ partner, which will help donate $100 per goal kicked at Adelaide Oval in 2017 – to pack 620 hampers ahead of Christmas.

Those hampers included staples like pasta, rice, breakfast cereal and milk, as well as a few Christmas treats.

“We are incredibly grateful to Port Adelaide’s continued support and we welcome Australian Gas Networks on board,” says Greg Pattinson, Foodbank SA chief executive.

“As the demand for our services is on the rise, we need help to put food on the table of South Australians doing it tough. When times are tough, it is more important than ever that we come together and show that we care about those most in need.”
