LED by Travis Boak and Jackson Trengove, a trove of Port Adelaide players infused their skin with plenty of detergent and got soaked by litres of water washing cars for a good cause on Saturday.

The group, which included Ollie Wines, Robbie Gray, Chad Wingard and Jarman Impey, raised over $17,000 for the Childhood Cancer Association, which is one of the Power’s key charity partners.

With added sponsorship money and proceeds from donations, the six players are hoping to hand over a cheque of $20,000 to the CCA through continued public support.

“I firstly want to thank everyone who came and supported us on Saturday, that’s where we raised the majority of our funding, but also Tom Kosmidis from X-Convenience and Anthony Romeo from Romeo’s Foodland for their major support of the program,” Trengove told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Also to the Caruso boys for helping us staff the day.

“Cancer remains the single biggest killer of children worldwide, and the CCA do fantastic work here for families of children suffering here in South Australia.

“Boaky has been doing work with them for years, and the rest of us were really thrilled to get out there and get behind them as part of this fundraiser.

“We’re still hoping to present a $20,000 cheque to them in the coming weeks and hope that it helps support them in the work they’re doing for young kids in SA.”
