PORT ADELAIDE reserves player, Chen Shaoliang has added another feather to his cap after passing his driving test and getting his Ps.

Chen has spent the past few months learning to drive with the help of Paul from RAA Driver Education and his host parents.

He says it was a pretty fun experience and is enjoying the freedom that being able to drive has given him.

“RAA taught me how to become a safe driver and I really like it, it’s pretty cool.

“I wanted to get my licence because it’s not easy to get around but now I can go to training and back home easier and catch up with my friends.

“I don’t need to catch the bus!”

Chen was the first player born and raised in China to train with an elite AFL playing group and after suffering from a knee injury in 2016, continues to pursue his dream of debuting for Port Adelaide’s SANFL team and eventually becoming an AFL listed player.
