PORT ADELAIDE has selected Jake Patmore with its third pick in the 2017 National Draft.

Patmore is an outside ball-winner who has racked up a huge number of touches playing in the WAFL Colts - averaging more than 29 possessions a game for Claremont.

The 18-year-old also performed strongly in the U18 Championships for Western Australia - averaging 23 touches, four marks and four tackles a game.

Some big pre-seasons in the coming years will benefit the ball-magnet as he looks to build on his endurance.
