GOLD COAST will be without key position player Sam Day for its clash with Port Adelaide in China on Saturday afternoon.

Day was suspended for one match for striking Melbourne’s Neville Jetta, but the news was better for Suns’ co-captain Steven May who was only fined for his umpire contact on the weekend.

David Swallow appeared to injure his knee in the Suns’ loss to Melbourne at the Gabba but will be given every opportunity to line-up against the Power in Round 9.

Peter Wright looks likely to return to Gold Coast’s side to replace the suspended Day, despite Stuart Dew saying the big man needed more match fitness as he returned from injury.

While Will Brodie has been in fantastic form in the NEAFL and will most certainly come into consideration to face Port at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai.
