Sam Powell-Pepper has been cleared by the MRO after a high fend off on Gold Coast's Lachie Weller.

Contact between Port Adelaide's Sam Powell-Pepper and the Gold Coast Suns' Lachie Weller from the second quarter of Saturday's match was reviewed. Powell-Pepper takes possession of a loose ball and transfers the ball from his right hand to left hand. As he is taking possession of the ball, he is confronted by Weller, who seeks to tackle him. As Powell-Pepper moves the ball in his possession, he seeks to break through the tackle from Weller with a fend with his right arm. A free kick was paid at the time to Weller for high contact. It was the view of the Match Review Officer that Powell-Pepper was seeking to evade the tackle and his actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances. It was his view that the free kick was the appropriate decision on the ground and no further action was taken.

Powell-Pepper will be free to play against Hawthorn in Round 11.
