HE’S the long-kicking left-footer receiving plaudits from commentators for being in career-best form.

The 25-year-old is currently leading the club for metres gained with 4043 metres this season – ranking him 10th in the league overall (an average of 449.2 metres per game).

Polec has also been hitting the scoreboard, with his best return coming against Sydney when he booted two majors.

In Round 6 against North Melbourne, the hard-running wingman recorded his best AFL Fantasy score of 156 after racking up career-highs in handballs (16) and disposals (34).

He also managed 29 touches against Brisbane including a career-high 24 kicks.

In all, Polec is ranked 10th in the AFL for kicks with 145, with an average of 16.1 per game.

Not normally renowned for his work on the inside, Polec’s game against the Kangaroos also saw him rack up 12 tackles, the most tackles he’s ever had in his career.

Against Brisbane in Round 2, Polec had a career-high three goal assists.

He also recorded another career-best for marks with an impressive 12 that day.

The only areas he hasn’t bettered his career-best numbers are goals, hit-outs, clearances, rebound 50s and inside 50s, but there is still plenty of time to come in 2018.
