YOUNG trio Todd Marshall, Aidyn Johnson and Joe Atley made a successful return from injury in the Magpies’ win over Central District on Saturday.

All three youngsters are back to full health after recovering from respective shoulder, adductor and back injuries, playing out the game with no issue.

First-year ruckman Sam Hayes successfully underwent surgery last week after rupturing his ACL at training and is set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

Meanwhile Trent McKenzie remains a 2-3 week prospect with a quad issue, while Jarrod Lienert (knee) and Matthew Broadbent (ankle) continue on the steady road to recovery.
