PORT ADELAIDE may look to include some midfield run and forward fire power for its big Thursday night clash with Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval.

Karl Amon was among the best for the Magpies in the SANFL, picking up a team-high 25 disposals to go with six marks, four inside 50s and two rebound 50s as his side beat Central District.

He was well supported by Dom Barry who was electrifying in the first half in particular and finished with 24 touches, eight marks, five inside 50s and two classy goals back-to-back at an important time.

Jack Trengove was industrious against the Bulldogs, continuing his solid form, racking up 20 disposals, six marks, two tackles and two inside 50s.

Todd Marshall and Lindsay Thomas were busy up forward.

Marshall kicked a clever goal after taking the advantage from a free kick to Thomas, but also had 12 disposals, five marks and six inside 50s to stake his claim for a return to AFL action.

Thomas booted three goals and was a constant threat inside 50 with 12 disposals and five marks.

Jack Hombsch is also pushing for a recall after a composed performance down back, finishing with 13 touches and nine marks.

The squad to face the Western Bulldogs will be announced on Wednesday evening.
