THE Port Adelaide Football Club congratulates former Aboriginal AFL Academy member Aziel Stuart on winning the 2018 Madigan Medal as the most outstanding player in the Spencer Gulf League.

Stuart, who was named the Energy Australia Aboriginal AFL Academy Footballer of the year in 2015 and captained the side, finished four votes clear of South Augusta teammate Matthew Downey and West Augusta’s Nicholas Collins in last night's Madigan Medal count.

Stuart also played with the reserves at the Port Adelaide Magpies in 2017.

He’ll now look to help South continue its 15-game unbeaten run, and add a third SGL premiership in a row.
