PORT ADELAIDE star Robbie Gray is among the list of invitees to the Brownlow Medal next week.

A list released by the AFL on Monday showed Gray was among five Power players invited to the prestigious event.

Tom Jonas, Justin Westhoff and Ollie Wines were each invited along with skipper Travis Boak.

Gray this year added a fourth All-Australian selection to his lengthy list of accolades.

He was third for the club’s most Brownlow votes in 2017 behind Wines and Ebert with Boak fourth, while Westhoff is expected to poll well in 2018 given his impressive form all season.

Clubs are asked to provide a guest list of four players, plus the club's captain and any previous winners of the prestigious medal.

A few surprises among the names of invitees include soon-to-be-delisted Bomber veteran Brendon Goddard, improved Demon Jake Melksham, young Saint Jack Steele and oft-injured Blue Matthew Kreuzer.

Another surprise is the omission of Gold Coast’s former co-captain Tom Lynch who has asked the Suns to be traded and was stripped of the co-captaincy last month.

Every very other skipper is scheduled to attend, with co-captains of both Melbourne (Nathan Jones and Jack Viney) and Greater Western Sydney (Phil Davis and Callan Ward) coming to the event.
