David Neitz from the Melbourne Demons examines skill development and coachability.
Neitz testifies that it is important for players to develop their own skills but also to listen and take on the coaches advise and instructions to ensure that you develop a full range of skills. The objective of the coach and the player is to be able to work on both the weaknesses and strengths of an athletes game.
Neitz explains that there are no shortcuts in skill development, that hard work, dedication and an ability to work with your coach are elements to becoming a well skilled player.
