The 2008 Premiership ruckman had an injury-interrupted first season at Alberton but will be looking to stake a claim on one of the two ruck spots in the Power’s first 22 in 2013. A natural athlete, Renouf will benefit from an injury-free pre-season following surgery to clean out his troublesome knee.

Background

  • Renouf was drafted by Hawthorn in the 2006 National Draft from Queensland side Southport
  • He has Maori heritage and grew up on the Gold Coast

Season by Season

Season by Season

  • After an injury-interrupted pre-season as he recovered from a hip injury, Renouf forced his way into the side in Round 4 to play as the lone ruck against Collingwood’s Darren Jolly
  • Renouf took a few games to find his feet for Port Adelaide, but impressed against Richmond with two goals
  • His best performances in Power colours to date came in back-to-back wins against North Melbourne and Gold Coast, when Renouf racked up a career-high 42 hit-outs in each match
  • Renouf was sidelined after the Power’s Round 14 loss to Geelong and a nagging knee injury kept him from playing again in the AFL in 2012
  • He underwent surgery to clean out his troublesome knee late in the 2012 season
  • Despite playing just 10 matches, he led the Power in hit-outs with 253 at an average of more than 25 per game
  • Following his most consistent season for the Hawks in 2010, Renouf started the season alongside David Hale as one of Hawthorn’s two ruckmen
  • He was an important part of the Hawks early season success and stood out against the Power booting three goals
  • Renouf had his season cut short following surgery to remove his gall bladder
  • Having established himself as a regular in the Hawthorn side late in 2009, Renouf began 2010 as the sole ruckman
  • The Hawks struggled early in the season but Renouf still managed to take some big scalps, including having the better of Darren Jolly in the pair’s Round 4 face-off
  • Hawthorn’s form turned and Renouf continued his consistency throughout the year, gaining his first two Brownlow votes against Port Adelaide in the Hawks Round 18 loss
