2010 was arguably Pearce’s most consistent at AFL level playing every game for the season and averaging 20 disposals despite being regularly tagged. His penetrating left foot kick remained as dangerous as ever, particularly when inside 50 where he kicked 12 goals for the season. On the flip side, the defensive side of his game improved significantly to the extent that he laid more than five tackles a game on eight occasions. Pearce, who finished fifth in last season’s club best and fairest, will be looking to become a genuine leader through the Power midfield in 2011.
