After initially struggling after winning the NAB Rising Star Award, Danyle Pearce’s 2009 season was a watershed year for the speedy wingman. After initially going unchecked early in the year, he became the Power player the opposition sent their tagger to as the season progressed and injuries took hold, yet still finished fourth in the AFL for inside 50s. Pearce is looking to 2010 as an opportunity to prove that he can more than handle a hard tag as he heads towards the 100 game mark early in the season.
