After a brilliant start to his 2009 season in a new role across half-back, Steven Salopek look set for his best year at Port Adelaide. Alas, injury struck again. The courageous 24-year-old dislocated his troublesome shoulder, and underwent a shoulder reconstruction in September and is – unsurprisingly – hoping for an injury-free year in 2010. So far his preseason has gone well, with an impressive display on the track, with any time lost due to rehabilitation of his shoulder not apparent to any watcher of training seasons in the pre-season.
