AAMI Stadium (formerly known as Football Park) is Port Adelaide's home ground and is South Australia’s premier football stadium.

It was built in 1972 and hosted its first Australian Football match in 1974.

Port Adelaide played its first game at the ground on June 8, 1974, winning against South Adelaide in the SANFL.

It's first AFL game at the ground was on 6 April 1997 against Essendon and was victorious against Geelong in its second game at the venue.

Port Adelaide will play the last ever home-and-away game at AAMI Stadium in Round 23 against Carlton, with the Power moving to its new home ground at Adelaide Oval from 2014.

Accomodation

The nearest accommodation is at The Lakes Resort only a couple of hundred metres from AAMI Stadium.

Most travelling football fans from out of town will tend to stay closer to the Adelaide CBD, only 14 kilometres from AAMI Stadium.

Parking

Westfield West Lakes is undergoing a major re-development with a new carpark for shoppers and expansion of the centre currently underway.

There will be a reduced number of carparks available to everyone during the re-development period.

Getting to AAMI Stadium

The SA Lotteries Footy Express bus service continues to be free in 2013 and is the best way to get to AAMI Stadium.

Run by Adelaide Metro, buses take Port Adelaide fans to the purpose-build bus terminal outside AAMI Stadium from throughout the city and suburbs on match days.

Car parking is available on the Max Basheer Reserve inside AAMI Stadium and throughout surrounding areas at West Lakes.

Limited car parking is available in West Lakes Mall which is adjacent to AAMI Stadium In 2012, car parking costs were $15.00 in both West Lakes Mall and Max Basheer Reserve.
