Chad Cornes will go harder in 2008, as the Power’s brand new television commercial proves.
The Power superstar is featured in the ad, which aired on Channel 7 for the first time on Sunday, and is now viewable online.

It features a shirtless Cornes running along the beach, eventually hitting top speed and leaving his shadow behind as he powers into the distance.
It ties in with the billboard advertising currently around Adelaide which features Cornes and other Power players ‘going harder’ and leaving their shadows behind.
Power brand manager Jehad Ali, who worked with production house Piper Films and advertising agency Jam on the ad, said the aim was to convey that the Power is ‘going harder’ in 2008. It also extends the club’s ‘the revolution continues’ theme, encouraging supporters to buy their memberships.
“We’re really happy with how it has come together,” Ali said.
“The ads show key Power players outdoing themselves by racing and beating their own shadows. It illustrates that the players are stronger, fitter, tougher and going harder. It’s also a metaphor that the club is moving forward and leaving the past in its wake.
“This new and exciting direction is something everyone involved with the club can own – players, coaches, staff and supporters. We want to convey to everyone to ‘go harder’ in everything they do in Season ’08.
“We’ve also extended our revolution theme with the new positioning line ‘the revolution continues’, which is all about the evolution of the young squad at the club.”
Chad said he had had a few text messages from mates who had seen the ad over the weekend but all had to agree it was a very professional production.
“Believe it or not I don’t actually ask to do this stuff,” Chad laughed, “but the club and the company we worked with were very professional so I was just happy to do my bit.
“Plus the overall theme of ‘go harder’ is a great message and something the team and our fans should live by this year.”
For South Australian beach buffs, the ad was filmed at Aldinga Beach. It will screen on Channel 7 throughout the build up to the season and at different times throughout the year.
