Port Adelaide SANFL Members 

Members who have a home or home and away Magpies membership will be able to scan their membership card at the gate as normal.

11 Game Power Members 

11 Game Power Members will have access to our Round 5 home game against the Eagles. Simply scan your Power membership card at the gate. Entry is subject to capacity. 

Can I purchase at the gate?

Subject to availability, tickets will be available at the gate.

Adults $16, Concession $10, Under 18s free!

Alberton Oval FAQ

What is the crowd capacity at Alberton Oval?

Alberton Oval has an SA Health-approved Covid Management Plan, permitting a capacity of 5,000 spectators per game. This means members and supporters should not have any issue accessing most matches.

Do I need to wear a mask to Alberton Oval matches?

No. As SANFL matches are an outdoor activity, under the Port Adelaide Football Club SANFL Covid Management Plan it is not a mandatory requirement from SA Health for patrons to wear a mask.

How is Port Adelaide complying with physical distance requirements at Alberton Oval?

By limiting spectator numbers to the 3 persons per 4 square metre rule (75% capacity), social distancing at the oval can be maintained. Club officials will be present and Covid Marshals and will be ensuring patrons are complying with social distancing. 

Do I need to be seated at matches or can I stand?

No, you can choose to be seated or stand, so long as you are 1.5 metres distance from other patrons who are not members of your household. Alcohol consumption whilst standing is allowed. 

What do I need to do to keep myself and others safe?

We all have a part to play in keeping the community COVIDSafe:

  • Stay home if you are feeling unwell, and seek testing if you have any COVID, cold or flu symptoms
  • Wash your hands often and cover coughs and sneezes in your arm
  • Use the COVIDSafe check-in QR Code or manual register when you arrive
  • Follow the advice of all venue and club staff
  • Maintain 1.5m physical distance from others not in your household or social group

Will canteens and bars be open?

Yes. Full food and beverage services will be available on match day, ensuring an enjoyable day out at the footy.

Can I buy a ticket with cash at the gate, or is it card only?

Yes. Ticket boxes at the gate will take cash, although card is the preferred payment.

Will I need to ‘check in’ at the gate?

Yes. To adhere with SA Health COVID contact tracing requirements, regardless of how you purchase a ticket, you will need to check in with the venue’s QR Code or written register at each ground. 

Will the SANFL Football Budget be available this year at matches?

Yes, the Footy Budget is back in season 2021 and will be sold at the gate, club merchandise stands and canteens. 

Will there be a ‘kick and catch’ on the oval this year?

Yes absolutely. You can have a kick and catch during the quarter and half-time breaks and after the game. Kick and Catch is only permitted in the 50m arcs at each end of the ground. Please remember to do the right thing and keep you distance from other patrons. 

Are there any restricted areas at Alberton Oval?

Please note that some of the area in front of the Alan Scott Building will be blocked off due to Player / Staff access.

What time do the Gates open at Alberton Oval?

Unless otherwise advised there are no curtain raiser games at Alberton Oval in Season 2021. Gates will open 1 ½ hours prior to the game start time.

How does the Port Club Renovations affect SANFL Game Days?

The Port Club has restricted access due to the major redevelopment. Please note

*The only area open to the public is the Sports Bar. Please note the Bistro & Function Centre is closed to any public access

*Due to the renovations there is no access to the lift. Only access to the Quinn Stand is via the Alberton Oval gates.

*Access into the Venue for anyone under the age of 18 must be through the gate between the Williams and Quinn Stand

Is the Port Store Open?

The Port Store will be open from 10am on Game Days. Access into the Store is via their front door located on the external of the building

How can I purchase a seat within the Grand Stand?

Grand stand tickets are available to purchase inside the Russell Ebert Gates. Tickets are $5 per person. Please note Grand Stands have limited capacity under the Covid Management Plans.

Emergency COVID Management

On 27th April 2021 the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel – Associated Direction No 6) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 came into effect outlining that people arriving in South Australia from a restricted zone in Western Australia on or after 17 April 2021, are not permitted to attend any event with an approved COVID Management Plan or an event with more than 1000 people for 14 days after their last date in Western Australia.

The area in the State of Western Australia comprised of the following regions are declared to be a restricted zone:

  1. Perth Region;
  2. Peel Region;

If you have been in a restricted zone in Western Australia since Saturday 17 April 2021 you must under take the following

  • submit to COVID-19 testing within 24 hours, and on the 5th day, and on the 13th day after arrival
  • self-quarantine until receiving a negative COVID-19 test result
  • do not enter or remain in a high risk setting for 14 days after arrival
  • do not attend any event with an approved COVID Management Plan or at which more than 1000 people are present for 14 days after arrival
