Michael Voss will take on the role as Carlton's senior coach in 2022 after seven years as an assistant coach at Port Adelaide.

THE PORT ADELAIDE Football Club congratulates Michael Voss on his appointment as the senior coach of the Carlton Football Club.

Voss was first appointed midfield manager at Alberton in October 2014 and has been coach Ken Hinkley’s senior assistant since the 2019 season.

A mentor to a host of players at the club including vice-captain Ollie Wines, who paid tribute to him after winning the 2021 Brownlow Medal this week, Voss departs after seven seasons at the club.

“Michael has played an important role in our football department, always striving to develop and improve himself and our team,” said General Manager – Football, Chris Davies.

“He has been a great support for Ken and our other coaches, a mentor for so many of our players and a key driver of the strong connection amongst our group.

“In recent years, he has been forthright about his desire to be a senior coach again and we are pleased that he is able to get that opportunity.

“We are delighted that we have a football program that has enabled Michael to progress his career and we wish him well in his new role.”
