THE fans have spoken, voting Travis Boak as Port Adelaide's best performer against Adelaide in Showdown LI.

It was a difficult evening for the Power after a late-game surge and a goal on the siren earned Adelaide the four points.

Despite the loss, Boak caught the eye of supporters after collecting 28 disposals, 10 clearances and eight tackles, continuing his strong start to the season.

His solid performance was also noticed by the Showdown judges, narrowly missing out on a fourth Showdown Medal after finishing second in the voting to Adelaide's Jordan Dawson.

Although this is the first time this year he has claimed the maximum five votes, Boak leads the Fans MG MVP Leaderboard by eight points.

Coming in second place was Todd Marshall who produced an impressive five goals-straight, setting himself a new career-high in the process.

Rounding out the votes this week was Scott Lycett (3rd), Darcy Byrne-Jones (4th) and Ryan Burton (5th).

This week Port will face the reigning premiers on Thursday night at Adelaide Oval.

  1. Boak (5 points)
