PORT ADELAIDE has added some valuable tall timber to its SANFL side for Saturday’s game against Woodville-West Torrens with the inclusion of rucks Sam Hayes and Scott Lycett, along with key defender Sam Skinner.

The trio will be joined in the side by midfielder Taj Schofield and clever forwards Steven Motlop and Anthony Wilson, while the game will also see the debut of teenager Harper Montgomery.

Montgomery is the second son of 2004 AFL premiership player Brett Montgomery and has been granted permission by the AFL, the SANFL and his club North Adelaide to play for Port Adelaide for a fortnight, in a similar agreement to the one which allowed Jase Burgoyne to play three games for the club last year.

SANFL-listed players Dylan Aldridge, Mac Nield, Aryan Sareen, Ollie Cheesman, Aidan Turner and Miller Carter go out of the side, while Jed McEntee and Sam Mayes have been promoted to the AFL side as emergencies.

Any AFL emergency not required for Saturday night’s clash with Greater Western Sydney could drop back to play for the Magpies.

The game against the Eagles on Saturday gets underway at Woodville Oval at 2:10pm.
