Port Adelaide captain Erin Phillips has been named in the 27-player squad for this weekend’s AFLW practice match against Essendon.

Phillips has returned to full-capacity training over the last few weeks, following a routine clean-up of her knee in June.

Almost the entire squad will travel to Melbourne on Friday, with all 27 fit players to take to the field at some point during the match.

Ebony O’Dea will remain in Adelaide, unable to fly as she recovers from a partially collapsed lung sustained during last weekend’s practice match against Adelaide.

Litonya Cockatoo-Motlap (broken finger) and Britt Perry (syndesmosis injury) will support their team from the sidelines at The Hangar.

The match begins at 12pm AEST / 11.30am ACDT on Saturday and can be live-streamed at www.portadelaidefc.com.au.
