PORT ADELAIDE has confirmed just three players will require post-season surgery.

Senior midfielder Hamish Hartlett and defenders Jack Hombsch and Tom Logan will go under the knife in the lead up to the club’s pre-season later this year.

Hartlett will have surgery to a shoulder injured late in the 2013 season, while Logan will have an operation to his thumb. Hombsch will undergo hip surgery.

It is a far smaller post-season surgery list than the one at the end of 2012, with 18 players operated on at the same time last year.

Ruckman Jarrad Redden underwent surgery on his hip and shoulder after a season-ending injury against the Western Bulldogs in Round 10.

The portadelaidefc.com.au Injury Update will resume during the 2013/14 pre-season
