"[ANGUS] MONFRIES will play this week, unless something goes wrong between now and the next game."

With those words Ken Hinkley closed his post-game press conference after the Power's 40-point win over Geelong on Sunday night.

A team-wide performance was always going to be essential to overcome the league-leading Cats and Ken Hinkley will have difficulty making way for the game breaker Monfries.

Big team performance. Vote for your best three

He said as much, praising the playing group's ability to rally together at crucial points of Sunday's closing ANZAC Round match.

"It doesn't just take the midfield group, the backline group or the forward group [to win a match]," Hinkley said.

"It takes them collectively together to work as one, be predictable to each other.

"When they're predictable to each other they come together as a great footy side and put on performances that make us proud."

Curse broken as Power gets up under lights

Port Adelaide's selection dilemma will be compounded with no injuries reported from Sunday's win, and a number of players in hot form following the club's 58-point SANFL win on Saturday.

Those names include the likes of Ben Newton, Tom Logan and Kane Mitchell - all who have been the club's most consistent in the Magpies League team.

Port Adelaide will have a six-day break to prepare for the match with the Giants next Saturday.
