PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley concedes there's some doubt over the fitness of Jared Polec and Matthew Broadbent ahead of Saturday night's clash against Richmond at Adelaide Oval.

Polec and Broadbent were restricted to walking laps at the Power's final training session on Friday morning.

Polec missed last weekend's win over Collingwood with a hamstring injury, while Broadbent was a late scratching with a rolled ankle.

"I'm sitting here confident both boys will play," Hinkley said on Friday morning.

"We've got to get through to the start of the game before we confirm everyone, but with training yesterday, we weren't going to put them through back-to-back days.

"That's quite normal for 'Polly' (who has had a foot issues in the past).

"Because you've got two players who are missing a game, we're pretty comfortable and confident they're going to be there … but you're never quite 100 per cent certain until you get through 100 per cent."

Gun forward Robbie Gray and defenders Jasper Pittard, Darcy Byrne-Jones, Tom Jonas and Tom Clurey were also on light duties at Friday's training session.

"None of them did much, that's a normal captain's run," Hinkley said.

Emergencies Aaron Young and Jake Neade – both who played last week – trained with the team.
