CHAD WINGARD will have scans to assess the damage done to his left ankle on Saturday.

Wingard injured the ankle during the third quarter of Port Adelaide’s 25-point loss to Melbourne at the MCG.

Demon Sam Frost landed on Wingard’s ankle when attempting to spoil the Port midfielder.

Wingard returned to the field briefly in the fourth quarter but was unable to play out the game.

Power coach Ken Hinkley said Wingard would be reviewed during the week.

"He sprained his ankle pretty bad," Hinkley said on Saturday.

"He wanted to go back out there and try it out in the last quarter, but from the first jump (his attempted specky) you could tell that he wasn't quite right.

"We'll just assess it and see how it comes up.”

No other injuries were reported from the Power’s loss to Melbourne, and only Todd Marshall suffered injury – a concussion – in the Magpies’ 50-point win over Glenelg on Sunday.

With Port having a week off as part of the split SANFL Round 15, Marshall is expected to play in a fortnight against South Adelaide at Alberton.

Port Adelaide injury list as of Monday 24 July

Chad Wingard – ankle (TBC)
Todd Marshall – concussion (assess)
